Nutrition and the Hitter

Jack LaLanne once said about diet and what to eat:  "If man made it, do not eat it."

An athlete should always eat correctly no matter what age you are. From tee ball to the major leagues you will perform  basically on how well you eat.

A week before competition should be filled with complex carbohydrate rich foods, including:

  • Potatoes
  • Vegetables
  • Rice
  • Yams
  • Oatmeal
  • Breads
  • Biscuits
  • Muffins
  • Porridge
  • Non-sugary cereals

During competition, you should always drink water . . .
